President Hakainde Hichilema has commissioned the Hakainde Hichilema Mini Hospital in Mongu District, Western Province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility was constructed using resources from the First Family as a gesture of goodwill to the local community. Upon completion, the President officially handed over the hospital to the Ministry of Health to operate as a public health facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the Head of State directed the Ministry of Health to assess and address any additional requirements necessary to ensure the hospital operates efficiently and delivers quality services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister of Health Dr. Alex Katakwe expressed gratitude to the President for his continued commitment to strengthening the country\u2019s health sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Katakwe noted that the Government is also utilising the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to construct maternity annexes and health facilities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that these initiatives are significantly improving access to quality healthcare services, particularly in underserved communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
